Quick Check Corrections

Students are able to correct quick quicks for up to full credit back. Quick Check corrections are kept in a separate website called Formative. To access the corrections, students will need to do an initial login to join our class in Formative. Students can access individual quick check corrections by navigating through the lesson resources to the specific Unit and Lesson Quick Check that they would like to correct. It is critical that students send me webmails indicating which quick check corrections were completed because I will not be notified any other way.

Please join our class in Formative using the login information below. You may use the class code or click on the link to initially join our class.
UCA has already created your account. Please use the username (no spaces or commas: your first name, then last name, then uca, see my example below) and password (uca123). You only need to join the class one time. Once you are added to the class you will have access to all the course's quick check corrections. Typically Formative will keep you logged in, but if you ever need to log in again, you will use the same username and password.
It is important that you use the Formative account that UCA has created for you. Please do not join our class with a personal account.

It is critical that students send me webmails indicating which quick check corrections were completed because I will not be notified any other way. If I don't receive a webmail explaining which quick check corrections were completed, then I won't know to grade them and give points back.

Quiz / Test Corrections

Students are able to submit quiz and test corrections for up to 1/2 credit back. Quiz and test corrections are completed differently than quick check corrections and are not kept in Formative.

To complete quiz and test corrections, students will need to execute work on a sheet of paper and webmail me a picture of their completed corrections. To receive credit on quiz and test corrections students' work must contain the items listed below. Ultimately, the goal is to show that you understand the question and can prove that the correct answer is correct. Please do not submit quiz and test corrections that are incomplete or do not include the math work or explanations.

1) Clear indication of which quiz or test is being corrected.

2) Clear indication of which question is being corrected. Full question does not need to be copied, question number is fine.

3) All math work must be shown to get to the final answer. This includes showing every step and indicating when a calculator was used.

4) Write at least one complete sentence explaining why the correct answer is correct. If the problem does not require math work to justify the answer, then the expectation is for this explanation to prove the correct answer. Please use definitions and concepts from the lessons and units to justify your answer.
